Last updated: July 8, 2026Michael E. McCabe, CPA (“we,” “us,” or “the firm”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to memccabecpa.com (the “Site”).
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact forms: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the topic you select, and your message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.
- Booking: if you schedule a discovery call, scheduling is handled by Calendly, which collects your name, email, and selected time under its own privacy policy.
- Documents: if you choose to share tax returns or financial documents for a complimentary review, they are used only to perform that review and are treated as confidential.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics (only with your consent): if you accept cookies on our banner, we use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics 4) to understand how the Site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device type. If you decline, these tools do not run.
- Local preferences: your cookie choice and accessibility settings (text size, contrast, and similar) are stored in your browser’s localStorage. They stay on your device and are not transmitted to us.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and schedule and conduct consultations;
- To perform services you request, including complimentary return reviews;
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site (analytics, with consent);

What we don’t do
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising;
- We do not send marketing email without your consent;
- We do not use client tax information for any purpose other than the engagement, consistent with IRC §7216.
Sharing
Information may be shared only with service providers who help operate the Site and practice (for example: website hosting, scheduling, and email providers), under confidentiality obligations; or where required by law, regulation, or professional standards.
